Does the library have a book club?

Boy, do we have book clubs!

The Pearisburg Library Book Club meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. For a list of reading selections, please visit the library, check out our events calendar, or call (540) 921-2556.

The Giles County Bookworms are a county-wide book club that meets in in the library’s Reading Garden on the third Tuesday of each month. To find out more about the Giles County Bookworms, find us on Facebook or call the library at (540) 921-2556.

The library doesn’t have an item I want – can I request it?

Sure! We love hearing about the titles patrons want to read and do our best to fulfill these requests.

However, please note that a number of factors come into play, including, but not limited to: price of the material, the release date of the material, or how popular the material may be to our patrons.

If we are unable to order a book you requested, you may also request an interlibrary loan.

I’ve lost my library book – what do I do?

Hey, things happen! If you’ve lost your library book, please let our staff know. We do ask that you pay any overdue fines and a replacement fee of half of the book’s value. If the book is a new release, a replacement fee for the entire value of the book may be requested.

What if I know where the book is, but the dog ate it?

If lost your library book has been damaged, please let our staff know. We do ask that you pay any overdue fines and a replacement fee of half of the book’s value. If the book is a new release, a replacement fee for the entire value of the book may be requested.
