A to Z the World — Find information on world countries including culture, history, language, travel, and education.

America’s News — Stay informed on local and national topics, people and events in areas such as business, health, education, jobs and careers, political and social issues and more. America’s News features a wide variety of credible, vetted news sources spanning the U.S.

Encyclopedia of Continental Congresses — Provides an in-depth history of both the first Continental Congress in 1774 and the first Federal Congress in 1789, looking at their impact and role in the shaping and foundation of early American Society and government.

Explora Public Libraries — Explora is a user-friendly search tool that offers access to thousands of magazine and journal articles on a wide range of topics for both students and lifelong learners.

Explora Middle & HS — Explora supports both student research and classroom instruction with age-appropriate content for middle and high school learners with an easy-to-use interface and great accessibility tools, including translation and text to sound.

Gale in Context: Elementary — Gale In Context: Elementary meets the research needs of students in Kindergarten through grade 5, with age-appropriate content from magazines, newspapers, and more.

Salem Press — A collection of reference and research materials for students.

Universal Class — Online, self-paced learning, with over 100 classes relating to business and entrepreneurship skills.

VetNow — Connect LIVE with a military benefits navigator, seven days a week between 2 and 11 pm, for help with eligibility questions, connecting with veteran’s benefits and community resources, and more.

Homework Help Now — Connect LIVE with a certified tutor, seven days a week between 2 and 11 pm, for assistance with assignments, research and writing. Also find practice tests, study plans, and more. Tutoring is available in English and Spanish.

Transparent Language — Learn to speak 140+ foreign languages including over 20 indigenous languages, American Sign Language, and Citizenship Prep, and also includes ESL/ELL materials for speakers of 34 different languages. Transparent Language is perfect for the business travelers or tourists, as well as supplementing classroom lessons for students.

Magzter Library — Digital magazines are now available through the Library of Virginia via the Magzter Library app. Android and iOS users can download the app from the Apple Store or the Google Play Store (please be sure to use the Magzter Library app not the standard Magzter app). Magzter can also be accessed in a browser at https://mgztr.co/libraryapp. To set up your account, click the Continue with Library Card link, enter your email address to receive an OTP code and then select the Pearisburg Public Library and enter your Pearisburg library card to start reading.
